Abstract
The heat capacity of CsCoCl3·2H2O and RbFeCl3·2H2O has been analyzed using a d = 1 and d = 2 Ising model, respectively, yielding |J/k| = 38.6K for CsCOCl3·2H2O and |J/k| = 39 K, |J/k| = 0.7 K for RbFeCl3·2H2O. RbFeCl3·2H2O shows two metamagnetic transitions in applied fields along the c axis.
