Abstract

A concise summary is given of some problems that persist in the numerical analysis of concrete and concrete structures. Thereafter. two such problems are briefly discussed, namely the proper choice of a smeared-crack approach to model damage evolution in concrete and the issue of strain localisation and its regularisation in smeared crack and damage models.
