Abstract

Multi-wavelength conversion technologies have drawn much attention in recent years. In this paper, simultaneous one-to-four multi-wavelength conversion at 10 Gb/s has been achieved with both 200 GHz and 100 GHz channel spacing, using a single semiconductor optical amplifier – Mach-Zehnder interferometer (SOA-MZI). The results showed that the difference in power penalty among the signal channel and converted channels is less than 0.5 dB for NRZ operations in both cases.
