    Abstract

a-Terthienyl and pyrrole, substituted with alkylsulfonate side chains, can be polymd. electrochem. without the addn. of a conduction salt. This gives rise to self-doped conducting polymers and are sol. in water in the doped state. [on SciFinder (R)]
