Abstract

We have developed the local control strategy which consists of a droop control and a voltage unbalance mitigation strategy. This control strategy is extensively described in deliverable D2.4. We have extensively validated the local control strategy by means of the INCREASE simulation platform. The results of these simulations are described in D3.1, D3.2 and D3.3. The performed simulations proved that the local control strategy performs as expected. To experimentally validate this control strategy, we have designed and built a three phase four-wire inverter which is described in in D4.2.This report describes the experimental validation of the voltage unbalance mitigation part of the local control strategy in the lab of Lemcko, Ghent University. The test cases described are based on simulation cases described in D3.1, D3.2 and D3.3. The results described in this report show the beneficial effect of the developed control strategy on the voltage profile and the voltage unbalance. We only focus
on the voltage unbalance mitigation as this will be the focus of the field trial in Austria. The outcome of this report shows that it is interesting to proceed towards the field trials.
