    Abstract

The equation of state for liquified permanent and noble gases is discussed from the point of view of the law of corresponding states using molecular units, as developed in a previous paper. The deviations from the law of corresponding states, which are caused by quantum effects are evaluated theoretically, using the method of Kirkwood and Slater. The results of the numerical calculations are compared with the experimental data.
