Abstract
The first goals was to get an overview of different deployable methods, either small or big, to deploy structures/objects. This overview was achieved by a literature study. The results of this study was an overview of 19 deployable concepts which could be used for further analysis.
As the philosophy of the PowerVIBES project is that we do not make something for the festivals, but with the festivals, a clear program of requirements should be defined. Therefore, meeting with these partners were planned. The result was a list containing a total of 15 requirements. This program of requirement also includes a total of five design scenario's.
To program of requirements combined with the literature review resulted in a total of 13 possible deployable tower configurations using the parametric design software Grasshopper.
An analysis is included which shows the influence of wind loads in various wind categories of the Netherlands according to the Eurocode. In addition, a case study was conducted to understand the influence of various parameters on the stability of the design.
