Abstract

Metallo-supramolecular initiators based on 6-mono and 6,6'-bis-functionalized 2,2'-bipyridine metal complexes were utilized for the polymerization of different 2-oxazoline monomers. Polymers with a narrow molecular weight distribution and a predetermined molecular weight were obtained. The homo and block copolymers were characterized by GPC. Shear forces (e.g. on the GPC column) had a distinct influence on the star-like architecture, resulting in partially destruction.
