Abstract
Discusses results obtained in high energy field Tokamaks at temperatures of 1 KeV. In particular, work carried out at the MIT Alcator Tokamak with cooperation from FOM-Jutphaas has led to the achievement of 2.10/sup 19/ sec/m/sup 3/ only one order of magnitude smaller than the desired n tau product. A plasma of high temperature and density has been realised which exhibits heat transport close to the expected classical value
