    Abstract

The title polymers are prepd. by contacting a substrate with vapor of azidobenzene (I) or a I deriv. such as 1-azido-4-pentoxybenzene and exposing the monomers to UV light. Doping of the polymer (e.g., with iodine) imparts elec. cond. Quartz glass was exposed to a gaseous I-N mixt. and UV light to form a polymer film on the glass. The film was heated at 80 Deg for 30 min in the presence of iodine to give a film having elec. cond 0.01-0.001 S/cm. [on SciFinder (R)]
