Photophoresis of a sphere in a rarefied gas

The photophoresis of a sphere is studied on the basis of the linearized B-G-K equation. The photophoretic forces are calculated for both near continuum and near free molecular flows. The photophoretic velocity of a suspended sphere is also obtained.
