Abstract

We report on a novel method for optical modulation format recognition based on Stokes parameters and variational expectation maximization algorithm. Discrimination among six different pol-muxed coherent modulation formats is successfully demonstrated in simulation and experiment.OFC/NFOEC Technical Digest
