Abstract

Change of title: One-dimensional numerical simulation of the Stirling-type pulse-tube cooler. Pulse-tube refrigeration (PTR) is a new technology for cooling down to extremely low temperatures. In this paper a particular type, the so-called Stirling single-stage refrigerator, is considered. A second-order accurate numerical method is applied to the equations governing the gas dynamics and heat transfer in the PTR. Some results for the pressure, velocity and temperature are shown and explained.
