Abstract
An object-oriented design for the distributed computer control system of the accelerator ring EUTERPE is presented.
Because of the experimental nature of the ring, flexibility is of the utmost importance. The object-oriented principles have contributed considerably to the flexibility of the design incorporating multiple views, multi-level access and distributed surveillance.
