MVDC application: Switching processes AC-to-DC, DC-to-AC and imbalance mitigation through DC mode

Abstract

Proposal Flexible AC/DC-link (FDCL) testing is devoted to its ancillary services and to its interaction with the network. In the laboratory identify, tests are being performed with regards to the flexibility of the operation, and the level of efficiency and improvement on power quality that can be gained with the control of the system. The present study begins by examining the switching procedure AC-to-DC and DC-to-AC of the FDCL and then, as an initial testing phase, the aspects regarding its improvement through ancillary services (Imbalance mitigation) in the DC mode are tested and verified for real scenarios.
