Abstract

Multiband OFDM UWB transmission over 1-mm core diameter graded-index plastic optical fiber is demonstrated using a low-cost and off-the-shelf transceiver. We obtain overall EVM penalties of less than 7 dB for 50-m plastic optical fiber.
