Abstract
We establish the link between backstepping controllers previously designed for the Ginzburg-Landau model of vortex shedding and the actual flow dynamics, represented by a Navier-Stokes solver, and demonstrate, for the first time in CFD simulations, the effectiveness of this class of controllers in attenuating vortex shedding.
