Abstract
A method is presented for the analysis of finite arrays of (stacked) microstrip antennas. The
method is based on the well-known "method of moments" and includes surface waves and
mutual coupling between array elements. It is shown that mutual coupling between array
elements affects the input reflection coefficient of each array element and deteriorates the
radiation pattern of the total array. Several microstrip configurations are investigated. In
addition, some experimental results will be compared with calculations.
