Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing functionalized oligomeric silsesquioxanes by reacting partially condensed oligomeric silsesquioxanes with alkoxysilanes. Thus, reaction of (isobutyl)7Si7O9(OH)3 with 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane, vinyltrimethoxysilane, 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, N-[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ethylenediamine, etc. in the presence of Et4NOH in THF/H2O gave title compds. I (R = iso-Bu, R1 = CH2CH2CH2Cl, CH2:CH, CH2CH2CH2NH2, CH2CH2CH2NHCH2CH2NH2, etc.). The invention also relates to the use of the same for further derivatizations, for the synthesis of catalysts and the starting compds. thereof, and for the synthesis and modification of polymers.
