    Abstract

A theoretical network model is used to calculate the limit cycle velocity saturation amplitude and the limit cycle acoustic pressure amplitude for a Rijke tube with electrically heated grid in the presence of visco-thermal damping and acoustic radiation losses. The relationship between the convective heat transfer to the air and the acoustic velocity perturbation is modelled by means of King's law.
