    Abstract

    This chapter analyzes the complex legal framework applicable to the development and the use of AI systems in the medical field. Fundamental principles of GDPR ant AI Act proposal are explained, such as transparency, legal basis, right of explanation, accountability, fairness, and human oversight, and the role of interpretability is highlighted.
