Abstract

The system of a glass bead embedded in a glassy polymer matrix is very suitable for studying microscopic deformation mechanisms initiated at stress concentrators. The interfacial effects apply not only to polymers filled with rigid particles but also to polymers filled with fibers. [on SciFinder (R)]
