Abstract
The polarization filter that is presented in this publication is based on a narrow deep
etched waveguide. The measured suppression of the TE mode is 20 dB. The achieved
bandwidth is larger than 130nm (limited by the setup). The filter width for an operating
range around 1550 nm is 0.5 μm
