Abstract
The effect of substitution of nonmagnetic (Cd) and magnetic (Cu) impurities on the magnetic behavior of (CH3)2NH2MnCl3 (DMMC) and CsMnCl3 · 2H2O (CMC) has been studied. Both compounds show a dramatic decrease of TN upon dilution. A theoretical interpretation based upon the classical spin model including orthorhombic anisotropy will be discussed.
