Abstract
The essential oil of air-dried immature fruit of Brillantaisia laminum (Acanthaceae) from Benin was analyzed by high resolution GC and GC/MS. Almost forty components were identified, representing more than 90% of the oiL The main constituents were isobornyl acetate (66.9%), caryophyllene oxide (5.0%), beta-caryophyllene (4.5%) and isoborneol (2.4%).
