Abstract
Marc Koehler’s design practice illustrates how an architect can successfully anticipate the rapidly changing construction and real estate business of today. With the ‘Superlofts’ concept, Marc Koehler Architects aims to increase its influence on the design task, by consciously entering the field of project and product development. By doing this, Koehler partly takes on activities that are traditionally performed by developers, real estate agents and contractors. This enables MKA to involve the end user more actively in the design process. Archiprint spoke with Marc Koehler about his ideals and their role in his architecture practice, about how ideals can change the world, and about how the world can also influence ideals.
