Abstract

In suspensions of C₃A in water, C₃AH₆ formation is counteracted by the addition of CaSO₄.2aq.or of large additions of C₃S but promoted by small additions of C₃S. The composition of the hexagonal calcium aluminate hydrates precipitating is influenced by the dissolution rate of the C₃A.
