Abstract

A gas chromatog. anal. technique of taking samples frequently from a pressure vessel up to 20-40% conversion eliminates copolymer anal. and provides a high precision in detg. the reactivity ratios of polymg. comonomers. The monomer reactivity ratios in ethylene(I)-vinyl acetate(II) copolymn. detd. by this technique are rI = 0.743 +- 0.005 and rII = 1.515 +- 0.007
