Abstract
Purpose Showing the importance of life-long healthy and suitable housing for enabling active aging. Results & Discussion Following the 'active aging' definition of the World Health Organisation, housing is discussed as a preventer of chronic morbidities and an enabler of physical, mental and social health needed for an active daily life, also from a comparative international perspective.
