Abstract

The mass transfer and reaction rates of rotating solid foam reactors were compared to a slurry reactor using the oxidation of glucose as a three-phase model reaction. Using the kinetic and mass transfer parameters the process conditions and the catalytic stirrer geometry have been optimized.
