Abstract

Gerontechnology is concerned with research, development and implementation of specific technologies for the purposes of the whole or sections of the elderly population. It has to do with controlled technology, the control coming from the fields of application, in this case from the domains in which older citizens can be served. The inherent restriction is directly concerned with useful and pleasant applications for elderly and only indirectly with specific engineering disciplines. The technological environment that we create should be adaptive to the changing requirements of aging processes.
