Abstract
What is the added value of simultaneously predicting the interrelated effects of visual comfort, thermal comfort and energy performance for decision support in integrated building design? We propose a new simulation-based method that is able to shed light on this question. Although results from an initial case study do not show distinct performance differences, our method enables better-informed design decisions, and therefore offers potential for low-energy façade design with high comfort.
