Abstract

Samples of the essential oil from the leaves of Cleistocalyx operculatus Roxb. Merr. et Perry of Vietnamese origin were analyzed by a com bination ofhigb resolution GC and GC/MS. Thirty components have been identified of which the major compounds were found to be (Z)-p-ocimene (32.1 %), myrcene (24.6%), P-caryophyllene (14.5%) and (E)p-ocimene (9.4%).
