Abstract

We propose a new set of hydrodynamic equations for flow of 3He. The Mechanical Vacuum model, in which mutual friction is neglected, and an earlier model without viscous force, proposed by the authors, are limiting cases of this new description. An experimental set-up is devised in which both forces play an important role. The results of this experiment are reported and are in agreement with the theory.
