Abstract

A Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) system has been developed providing a last mile solution in the MUSE project, where various deployment scenarios, Access Platforms and First-Mile technologies are studied. The system is based on the Optical Frequency Multiplication (OFM) method. The paper focuses specifically on a full duplex optical feeder network in a point-to-point configuration in preparation of a full FWA solution. A general outline is given and laboratory results indicate the feasibility of the developed system for the delivery of 100 Mbit/s FWA services.
