Abstract

Normal and abnormal uterine peristalsis in a non-pregnant uterus has proven to play a role in natural fecundity. However, quantification of uterine movement is yet not performed. In this feasibility study we measure myometrial uterine movement by strain analysis of activity, velocity and amplitude. Since now strain analysis has been only been used to evaluate myocardial contractility. We correlated strain measurements in uteri that were previously described to have active and non-active uteri.
