Abstract

In this paper, we present a novel continuously tunable arrayed-waveguide grating (A WG) based laser. Electrooptical phase shifters in the array arms allow for wavelength tuning over the complete A WG free spectral range. Preliminary measurements with a single electrode show tuning over a range of 6 nm.
