Abstract
In this report, experiences with on-line PD measurements on turbogenerator stator insulation using the VHF PD detection technique are discussed. The discussion is focussed on the care that should be taken with on-line PD detection, regarding the following topics: localization of PD sources, comparison of PD results, and selecting measurement frequencies
