Abstract
The electromagnetic modeling of the Fresnel-zone plate antenna (FZPA)
by means ofphysical optics (PU) and the unifoim theory of diffraction
(UTD) is experimentally verified. Near-field measurements on basic
configurations of the FZPA (i.e., a slit and two rings in a metallic plate)
at 50 GHz and far-field measurements on a complete FZPA at 11.5 GHz
show good correspondence with computer simulations based on UTD
and P0.
