Abstract

From 1997 on Océ has used UML-RT (formerly ROOM) to develop its embedded printer software. This paper highlights our experiences in relation to a number of development process issues. Our conclusion is that UML-RT is well suited for developing embedded printer software, but still has a few shortcomings, mainly with respect to the specification and verification of hard real-time requirements.
