Abstract
The essential oil obtained by steam distn. of the aerial parts of P. frutescens, a plant growing wild in Northwest Vietnam, was analyzed by a combination of GC and GC/MS. More than 50 compds. were detected, of which 25 components (95% of the oil) were identified. The main compds. were limonene (28.4%), piperitone (25.9%), b-caryophyllene (16.7%) and germacrene D (5.8%). [on SciFinder (R)]
