ESPRIT 6143 : Exploitation of Asynchronous Circuit Technologies

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionAcademicpeer-review

Abstract

By evaluating and comparing three key asynchronous circuit technologies, viz. signal-transition graphs, micropipelines, and handshake circuits, we have learned about their relative qualities. By combining their strengths and applying them to two different ICs, we have been able to demonstrate their strengths (low power, low radiation, and flexible interfacing). Asynchronous circuit technologies have matured and are ready for industrial application.
