Abstract

At the threshold of a new millennium, two major phenomena we have witnessed, globalization and technological advancement, have been factors of (r) evolution in the process of value creation. The new information needs constitute a strong argument for the implementation of projects for the transformation of positions and behavior, fundamental for the Organization to be effectively able to enjoy a new scenario of doing business and gaining competitive advantages in an increasingly complex market. Nuclear for the success of these transformations is the Information, resource whose management is, for the Organization, undoubtedly a powerful tool in its global strategy.
The emergence of ERP information solutions provides the Organization not only with consistent and effective support to ensure an efficient management of the information irrigation system, but also provides the capacity to progress along the evolution of the market, namely in the management of the relationship with the customer (CRM), for example.
It is definitely not possible to live in the traditional market for much longer. It is as if it were a natural resource, which also naturally runs out, a result of our natural, constant and predatory dissatisfaction. We should not worry too much about it because today it is natural for things to happen like this. We just have to admit it.
With this book, we would like to open a window on our beautiful technological farm, having as background the experiences of professionals in the domains of information solutions, spoken in full in e-Portuguese. A book on innovative experiences that allow the Organization to project itself into a competitive future.
