Abstract
Complex ac magnetic susceptibility measurements on Bi2CaSr2Cu2O8+δ single crystals have been performed as function of temperature and frequency with a driving field of 8 μT and a dc field of 1 {norm of matrix}c-axis. The imaginary component χ″(T) can quantitatively be described by thermally activated flux flow (TAFF) provided that a narrow distribution of activation energies P(U) is implemented. A slightly larger mean value for U0 and the sharpest P(U) has been found in a homogeneously oxydised crystal, indicating a relation between the oxygen content in the Bi2O2+δ planes and the activation energy for vortex hopping.
