Abstract

A bus-coupled, fifth-order ring-resonator SOI switch array has been designed and fabricated with integrated thin-film heaters. Optical pass-bands exceeding 110GHz are achieved with extinction ratios exceeding 30dB. Dynamic re-configuration is presented with 20 μs switching time and worstcase measured power penalty of 1dB.
