Abstract
A concept is described which allows correct operation of sensitive electronic equipment, such as digital measuring instruments in situations with a high interference level. Generally accepted incorrect ideas about potentials and grounding are to be replaced by a concept of closed current loops. Systems based on this concept can be designed to have excellent EMC qualities. Differentiating sensors at the end of terminated coaxial cables are useful in reducing interference. Several systems were applied successfully in hostile high-voltage environments. A few examples of measurements are shown
