Diffusion tensor imaging of the arterial collagen architecture

Abstract

Collagen is largely responsible for the mechanical behavior of the artery [1]. The collagen architecture can be visualized using different methods. We evaluated a novel imaging methodology which is fast, non-invasive and non-destructive.
