Abstract
IFD means an Industrial, Flexible and Demountable way of building. Using this IFD way of building we try to create buildings with a higher quality, more flexibility and with better environmental characteristics. This research focuses on the development of an IFD floor system. The first step in the research is to create a procedure to evaluate a floor design, and to determine the strengths and weaknesses of that design, regarding IFD characteristics. In this paper results of several existing floor systems will be shown.
