Abstract

What makes a power amplifier highly precise? Carefully juggling electrical and thermo-mechanical aspects, power engineers express performance in terms of what can be measured with an oscilloscope or spectrum analyzer. But power electronics are always part of a system, and true precision is expressed in terms of system accuracy. Jeroen van Duivenbode introduces the art of translating electrical performance into system accuracy.
