Abstract

This study explores the possible designs of Luminescent Solar Concentrator PV technologies which can be integrated in various environments by optimally using design features of this technology, such as colour, form giving, and transparency. These properties give a lot of freedom for designing an aesthetically pleasing product to be integrated into the built environments. The presented designs covering a wide range of applications from a landmark to a bus stop, are conceptual designs created by student teams of University of Twente in 2022. These conceptual designs illustrate how user experiences with sustainable energy technologies could be improved, especially in terms of aesthetics.
